Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program which is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab participates in a number of rehab activities and methods during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem.
