Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment program which is meant to handle drug addiction disorders and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation takes part in a variety of rehab activities and strategies in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted people in Deepwater who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient rehab, or for those who are unable to be apart from their home and work for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in standard treatment services for addiction issues while simultaneously addressing mental health issues which could keep them from remaining abstinent after rehab is complete.
