Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment facility that is meant to deal with drug addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab participates in various rehab activities and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted people in Dauphin Island, Alabama who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home and work for extended durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in standard treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction problems while at the same time overcoming psychological disorders which may deter them from remaining sober after rehab is done.
