The various substance abuse rehab programs which are available to drug and alcohol addicted persons in Cuba can differ in a lot of different ways. Some alcohol and drug abuse rehab programs are conducted in a residential or inpatient setting, where clients remain for the duration of their rehab which offers a more therapeutic rehabilitation environment. Others provide substance abuse treatment programs on an outpatient basis which provides a sense of versatility, although outpatient centers are not always an appropriate alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation program for men and women in Cuba who are struggling with serious drug addiction problems. Whether inpatient or outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation services are chosen, there are varying amounts of time that men and women will be required to remain in the drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. For instance, some short-term programs provide services for a month or less, whereas long-term programs will call for at least a 90 day stay.
