Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehab center which works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab takes part in a number of rehab services and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted men and women in Columbia who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or who are not able to be apart from their households for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional treatment services for addiction issues while simultaneously dealing with mental health issues which could keep them from remaining abstinent when treatment is complete.
