Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility which works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in rehabilitation takes part in a number of rehab activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the significance of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted individuals in Columbia who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their families for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction problems while at the same time dealing with psychological disorders which may deter them from staying sober when rehabilitation is complete.
