Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation facility that works to handle drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment participates in a variety of treatment services and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in College Park who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be away from their home for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in typical treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent after treatment is done.
