Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehab facility which works to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation takes part in a number of treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted persons in Climax who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be away from their households for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in typical treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from staying abstinent once rehab is done.
