Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program that is meant to treat drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological issues which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a variety of rehabilitation services and strategies during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
