Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment facility that is meant to handle substance abuse issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation takes part in various rehabilitation activities and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Center, North Dakota who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be apart from their households for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in standard counseling and therapy for addiction issues while at the same time addressing psychological problems which could keep them from remaining sober after rehabilitation is done.
