Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment center that is meant to handle substance abuse problems and psychological problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab takes part in various treatment activities and approaches in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
