Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab program which works to handle substance abuse disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation takes part in a variety of treatment activities and strategies in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted men and women in Catskill who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their home for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while simultaneously dealing with psychological disorders which may deter them from remaining sober after treatment is complete.
