Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who are currently taking part in drug and alcohol rehab programs in Carmel and across the nation. Court systems around the country often find it more effective to rehab men and women who have ended up in the criminal justice system for crimes relating to drugs, rather than penalizing them to no avail with time in jail and other such rulings. It is proven to be more helpful to deal with the issue of drug addiction directly, rather than enforce such penalties.
