Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in a variety of rehabilitation activities and methods during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Carlton who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be away from their households for extended lengths of time.
