Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehabilitation program which is meant to deal with drug addiction disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehab partakes in various rehab services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Cardiff who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be apart from their families for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction issues while also dealing with psychological problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent after treatment is complete.
