Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehabilitation center that is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab partakes in a number of treatment activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted people in Cape Vincent who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are unable to be away from their home for extensive periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time overcoming psychological disorders which may deter them from staying sober after treatment is done.
