Treating persons who are addicted and dependent to drugs and have landed somewhere in the criminal justice system has proven a successful method of eliminating future drug related criminal offenses those offenders who do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Cairo who do take part in in drug rehabilitation facilities, even if not of their own choice as is often ordered by the judge, these individuals have a much better chance at dealing with the root of the issue so that they can stay sober and away from negative influences and [[[committing drug related criminal acts. The costs to society having to do with these drug related offenses is also impacted positively when criminal justice clients become rehabilitated in drug treatment facilities in Cairo instead of jail time or other harsh punishment.
