Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that is meant to treat substance abuse disorders and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in treatment participates in various rehab activities and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
