Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment center which works to handle substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab partakes in a number of rehab activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is carried out several days a week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
