Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab facility that works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in various rehabilitation activities and strategies during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
