Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which works to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in treatment participates in various rehab services and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted men and women in Brewster who are unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home and work for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional treatment services for addiction issues while also dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from staying abstinent once treatment is complete.
