Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who are currently taking part in drug rehabilitation centers in Blue Rapids and across the nation. Judicial systems in the U.S. are finding it more effective to rehabilitate people who have found their way into the criminal justice system for crimes relating to drugs, instead of penalizing them to no avail with time in jail and other penalties. It is proven to be more successful to tackle the problem of drug addiction directly, rather than enforce these sorts of penalties. The majority of individuals who do not make their way to drug and alcohol treatment will often wind back up in the criminal justice system, while criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug treatment often don't make the same mistakes and have a far better chance at remaining sober and away from the court system completely.
