Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is meant to handle substance abuse disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehabilitation participates in various rehab activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the seriousness of the problem.
