Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility that is meant to treat substance abuse issues and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in various treatment activities and approaches in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
