Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment center that works to treat substance abuse issues and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment takes part in a variety of rehab activities and approaches in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Bailey who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be apart from their families for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in typical treatment services for addiction problems while at the same time addressing psychological issues which could keep them from staying sober when treatment is done.
