Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program which works to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehab takes part in a variety of rehabilitation activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days a week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
