Centers which go by the name of Partial Hospitalization or Day Treatment programs are available to those men and women in Athens who are having difficulties with co-occurring alcohol and drug abuse and mental health problems. These types of centers can be effective to specific rehab clients in Athens who may not be able to have the money to pay for inpatient treatment, or who are not able to take advantage of an inpatient program due to personal responsibilities. Partial hospitalization programs help the client in the daytime through therapy and other rehab techniques, and then the client goes home in the evening. Treatment is conducted anywhere from five to seven days per week on an intensive program which seeks to fully rehabilitate the person both physically and psychologically.
