The different alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation services which are available to drug and alcohol addicted persons in Angola can differ in several different ways. Some drug and alcohol abuse rehab programs are offered in a residential or inpatient facility, where clients reside for the duration of their treatment which offers a more conducive rehabilitation environment. Others offer drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation services on an outpatient basis which provides a sense of versatility, although outpatient facilities may not be an appropriate alcohol and drug abuse treatment program for men and women in Angola who are having difficulties with long term addiction difficulties. Regardless of whether inpatient or outpatient drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation programs are selected, there are varying lengths of time that men and women will be required to remain in the drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. For example, quite a few short-term programs provide services for a month or less, while long-term programs will require at least a 3 month stay.
