Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehab program which works to handle substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation takes part in various rehab activities and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days a week, depending on the severity of the problem.
