Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment partakes in a number of rehab services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted individuals in Anabel who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are unable to be away from their home and work for extensive periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction problems while simultaneously addressing mental health issues which could keep them from remaining abstinent when rehab is complete.
