Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehabilitation partakes in a variety of rehabilitation activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Alpine who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are unable to be away from their home and work for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in traditional counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while simultaneously dealing with psychological problems which may deter them from remaining sober when treatment is complete.
