Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that is meant to handle substance abuse disorders and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in a variety of treatment services and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days a week, depending on the severity of the problem.
