Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehab program that works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a number of treatment activities and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
