Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehab facility which is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab participates in various rehabilitation services and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Alberta, Alabama who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be apart from their households for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in typical counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time dealing with mental health issues which could keep them from staying abstinent when rehab is complete.
